With the proper equipment and materials, the process is relatively simple:
1. A small 16mm hole is drilled through the affected concrete slab/ footing.
2. Using our highly specialised system and equipment, polyurethane foam is precisely injected into the void beneath the slab. As it expands (5-20seconds), the concrete is raised back into its original position and permanently stabilized. We can precisely raise the slab to within millimetres. Additionally, the resistance of lifting the concrete structure compacts the base soils and thus providing a more robust solution.
3. Lastly, the holes are filled using a fast setting structural repair mortar, the site cleaned and demobilised.
4. Due to the short hardening time of the polyurethane material, the concrete surface is immediately ready for use. The dense polyurethane material is impervious to water preventing future erosion problems.
1. Concrete levelling using polyurethane can be used in residential projects (foot paths, carports, driveways and concrete areas) all the way through to major civil (Road ways, treatment plants, bridges, tunnels etc).
2. Using this method is the more economical and efficient process for concrete levelling.
3. There is less disruption using this method and lessens delays and inconveniences.
4. Compared to other concrete levelling methods, polyurethane concrete levelling is more efficient, 75% more economical, 80% faster to complete (and therefore less disruptive), more accurate (to within 2mm), more durable, and moisture resistant.
5. 99% of projects are completed in one day without affecting the traffic within the vicinity of the work area.
Polyurethane concrete raising consists of an environmentally safe liquid polymer foam that is injected through small holes in the concrete and into the loose, unstable soils below and through a chemical reaction the high density foam expands to effectively stabilize the loose soils and lifts the fallen concrete. The polyurethane material, itself, after about 15 minutes is fully cured and weighs about 1 Kilogram per cubic foot of material, which in turn, doesn't add any additional, unwanted weight to the substrate. Polyurethane foam is an inert, non-toxic, environmentally safe material that is made from 100% recycled materials. It is impervious to moisture or decay ensuring that over time will not only be environmentally friendly, but your repair will last a lifetime.
